What Made You This Way?

A journey of spiritual growth, shaped by trauma and transformed into purpose.

A therapist asked me one question that split my life in two:

“What made you this way?”

This is my answer — how a girl who learned to freeze became a woman who learned to heal.

About the Book

What Made You This Way? tells the story of how a life once pulled away from God’s purpose was not lost, but protected.

It is the account of an unequally yoked marriage and a discard after seventeen years that revealed a deeper truth: while someone can distort devotion into control, no one can override what God has placed on His child.

What begins as faithfulness can be exploited.
What appears as kindness can come with a hook.

The book explores how childhood chaos shapes survival instincts, how living in another’s shadow can silence a voice, and how a nervous-system collapse became the point of divine interruption, where God reclaimed what was always His.

This is not a story about staying or being broken.
It is a story about refinement.

Because we are God’s children first.
He guards what belongs to Him.
And once the refining is complete, He positions each of us for the purpose we were always created to fulfill.
